I'm doing Cambridge A Levels Math this october. I need to chose either Further Maths or IT for my 3rd subject. Is further maths as hard as they say? Is it possible to cover the whole syllabus within 5 months? (I did local ALs math last year and i'm good with maths too)

No Actually if You are going with the proper way of understanding the basics it won't be a difficult task
Since you have already done local A/L as far as I'm concerned it will b easy for you continuing Cambridge syllabus.......
Cambridge Al is not hard if you planing well. There are some units that you haven't touched in local syllabus. In my opinion is It will be easier than further maths
The stats compenent in Further maths will be overwhelming as that is not covered in Local ALs. Further Pure maths has contents similar to Local ALs. But there is equal amount of stuff not covered.. You need at least a proper 8 months training..
Cambridge AL is not hard compare to local ALs. If you produced good results in Local ALs at least 3Cs then you will able to get 3As in Cambridge .
