British council offers IELTS scholarships to study abroad.
This is a scholarship programme aimed at IELTS candidates of the British Council hoping to study abroad. The British Council will offer one scholarship each, worth £ 3,000, to 5 winners. This will be one for each of the following countries: UK, Australia, Canada, New Zealand and USA.
Application Deadline for year 2016/2017 is 31 March 2017

I work abroad. I heard Sri Lanka Bureau of Foreign Employment offers scholarships for the children of migrant workers like myself. I would like to get more information on such scholarship. If you have any information, please provide.
The IPS (Ladies' College, Institute of Professional Studies) while
providing vocational/professional training for students, who were not
academically inclined, looks after the financially disadvantaged, by
granting them financial assistance to follow these courses.
Scholarships are granted to those recommended by a parish priest, old
girls of the school and teachers of IPS.
Many scholarship holders are students from suburban and rural districts.
