Sure choosing chemistry is best option rather than ICT. We do have jobs in IT field but it is very competitive. let us say If you do AL maths with chemistry, then you be an engineer in so many fields. Also you can start your path from ICT. At the moment we have limited opportunity for universities in ICT. If you are graduate in Chemistry automatically you are open for international.So do not waste your valuable time.
It depends on your interest and future objectives such as which field do you wish to select. If you follow ICT, you can not enter for engineering but there are certain courses. But it is easy to pass ICT than chemistry. So it is better to follow MoE circular 2016/13
If you hope to do ICT, there is a problem, because you cannot apply for Engineering courses. If you hope to do Chemistry you cannot apply for the course called as ICT in university of Sri Jayewardenepura. But you can apply more causes if you choose chemistry as the subject. But these things are depending on your future plans and according to my opinion Chemistry is good.
It depends your passion and effort. If your passion is doing IT and if you think chemistry is difficult to you, then you can do Maths with ICT. Sometimes it may be helped to you for increase Z Score and finally you may be qualified for study to computer science and software engineering degrees in universities additional to your Maths degrees. But If you think you can do it with chemistry then you should do it with your best effort. Finally you may be qualified for study to engineering degrees. If you you think you are going to follow ICT then I can direct you as an ICT teacher.
You better select ICT. Actually the selection depends on your desire and the job opportunities you are searching for.

මම කරන්නෙ maths එක්ක ict මෙහෙමයි . maths එක්ක ict කරල සිවිල් ඉන්ජිනේරු කියන තැනට යන්න බැහැ. නමුත් software engineering යන්න පුලුවන්. ඒත් සතුටු වෙන්න එපා.මොකද software engineering ලංකාවෙන්ම ගන්නේ 50ක් විතරයි ඒ පනහෙනුත් 50 -60% අතර ප්‍රමාණයක් ගන්නේ mathz with chemistry කට්ටිය ඉතින්. ඔයාට අනිවාර්‍යෙන් උඩම place එකකට යන්න වෙනවා. තව කෝස් ගොඩක් තියෙනව. Physical science - ict මේ ලගදී open කරපු එක. ඒකට ගන්නෙ mathz එක්ක ict කරපු අය විතරයි. ඒත් ict අමාරැයි. ඔයා ict වලට කැමැත්තක් සහ දැනුමක් තියෙනවනම් විතරක් ඒක කරන්න. කෙමෙස්ට්‍රි කරන්න පුලුවන්නම් රිස්ක් එකක් ගන්නැතුව . මම නම් ict කලේ. මම පොඩි කාලේ ඉදන්ම ආස ගනනුයි ict නිසා. කැමැත්ත තමා වැදගත් වෙන්නෙ
