I have an A pass for Maths in O/L and I want to be an Architect. Please advice what subjects I need to select in A/L to become an Architect.
I am currently interested in doing Political Science for the Art Stream in A/Ls. I am still in Grade 9 and I've started deciding my future since the start of this month.
I noticed that Political Science is only available for students in Sinhala Medium, but I am studying IN English medium.
I see two ways to tackle this challenge:
- Do A/Ls in Sinhala (I am a Sinhalese)
- Choose another stream
Is there any other ways to do Political Science for A/Ls? Do you think I should choose another stream instead ? Let me know your thoughts.

I need 2018 o/l business studies marking scheme English medium
I did A/L in Bio stream but I passed only two subjects.
I have a diploma in Construction Technology (NVQ 6) but when I apply for Government jobs they ask for 3 passes in A/Ls.
Since I need to get 3 passes in A/Ls, I am going to sit for A/Ls again. I assume that I should be able to get 3 passes in A/Ls easily in Arts stream than in Bio stream. Therefore I decided to changed my stream from Bio to Arts.
Which subjects can I select in Arts stream? How can I apply for the exam? I am 29 years old.
Can you please help me?
මම පලමු වර ජීව විද්‍යා අංශයෙන් උසස් පෙළ විභාගයට 2020 දී පෙනී සිටියත් මෙවර කෘෂි විද්‍යාව විෂය ධාරාව යටතේ පෙනීමට බලාපොරොත්තු වෙමි.මා හට මෙවරද පාසල හරහා අයදුම් කල හැකි යැයි විදුහල්පතිතුමා විසින් දන්වන ලදී. එහි නිරවද්‍යතාව පිලිබද දන්වන ලෙස කාරුනිකව ඉල්ලා සිටිමි.
මම තවමත් සාමාන්‍යපෙළ පන්තිවල ඉගෙනුම ලබන ශිශ්‍යයෙක්මි. මම ගණිතය විෂය සඳහා A හෝ B සාමාර්ථයක් ලබාගැනීමට හැකිවෙනු ඇති නමුත් විද්‍යාව විශය සඳහා මම දුර්වලය. එම විෂය සඳහා මාගේ ප්‍රතිපලය C හෝ S යන ප්‍රතිඵල අතර දෝලනය වෙමින් පවතී. මම උසස්පෙළ විශය ධාරාව යටතේ සංයුක්ත ගනිතය හැදැරීමට බලාපොරොත්තුවෙන් සිටින අතර මට දැනගැනීමට අවශ්‍ය වන්නේ ගණිතය විශයට A හෝ B සාමාර්ථයක් ලබාගනිමින් විද්‍යාව විශයට S සාමාර්ථයක් ලබාගතහොත් උසස්පෙළ විශය ධාරාව යටතේ සංයුක්ත ගනිතය හැදැරීමට හැකිද යන්නයි.
මට ප්‍රශ්නයක් තියෙනවා. ලංකාවේ පාසලවල ශ්‍රේණි 13ක් තියෙනවා. ඒත් මම ඉස්කෝලෙන් අයින් උනේ 12 ශ්‍රේණියෙන්. උසස්පෙළ විභාගය පෞද්ගලික අපේක්‍ෂකයෙක් විදියට කළා. මම විභාගයෙන් සමත් වුණා. මගේ පාසල් හැරයාමේ සහතිකය අනුව මම 12 ශ්‍රේණිය සමත් වුණා. ඒ වගේම මම ඉගෙන ගත්තේ 13 ශ්‍රේණියට.
විදේශ විශ්වවිද්‍යාලයකට ඇතුළු වීමට එය ප්‍රශ්නයක් වෙයිද?
