Wycherley Montessori follows an activity based learning system, in which a number of topics such as Making and Creating, Usage of New Words, Number Recognition, Singing Songs, Playing Games, Understanding How Things Work, Interacting with other Children and Outdoor Play are covered.
Wycherley Montessori also practices, real-life methods to assist the child to gain control in the management of his or her movement and help them adapt to society. Children are taught to find materials and exercises of their everyday life, such as learning how to tie a shoe lace, keeping the books back on the shelf and pouring water from a jug to a glass. This promotes self – confidence in children as it allows them to believe that they can take care of themselves instead of having to depend on an adult for their basic needs. It will in turn help the child develop an orderly way of thinking.
