New NIC number is slightly different from the one printed in the A/L admission

I am an A/L student sitting for the exam for the 2nd time. I recently lost my NIC and had to have it remade. But due to the recent changes in the Department of Registration of Persons, the number on my new NIC is slightly different from the one printed in the A/L admission. (Though the old number is printed on the back of the new ID). Will this cause an issue when I sit for the exam?

Comments

I don't think there will be an issue since the old number is printed on the new ID.
