I am 25 years old and sitting for A/L for the 1st time

Hi Sir/Madam,
I am 25 years old. I have never sit for the advance level examination before. I have passed all subjects in O/L exam.
I am planning to sit for the advance level examination on coming year (2017 august).
Can I apply normally as a private candidate or do I need to register myself under education department because this is the first time I am going to apply for this exam?

Do I need to do any school level project?
Please give a suggestion.

You can sit for the exam as a private candidate straight away, though for the eligibility of university entrance you need to contact the Sri Lankan Education Department as per my knowledge.Good luck!

Dear Sir
I like to finish my A/L exam, but,now I work in Saudi Arabia. How can I apply and finish my education? I passed Tamil, Maths, English, Sinhala, Social science, Art, Religion.
Please tell how to complete my A/Ls?

As far as I know, you will have to sit as a private candidate and contact Department of Examinations for further information. They will assign you with a school for the school based project.

He may apply for GCE AL directly as a private candidate.

Yes, You can sit for the A/l as private candidate twice for a perticular subject area provided you have the minimum O/L qualifications for the relevant subject area. But You have to find the maximum age for entering the Government university from A/L in 2017
