CIRP is looking for a suitably qualified individual to join its faculty
as Lecturers / Tutors
The Colombo Institute of Research & Psychology (CIRP) is the
pioneering & leading provider of Psychology education in Sri
Lanka. The institute consists of Academic, Research, Corporate and
Therapeutic divisions that provide a range of services as their main
business avenues. CIRP currently provides Psychology education to more
than students through a wide variety of programs ranging from
Diploma level to Bachelors and Masters Degrees through its UK
affiliations such as Coventry University and University of
Hertfordshire.
Key Responsibilities
- Teaching Human Biology / Biology according to the British
curriculum
- Preparation of study materials and learning resources for
students
- Preparation of assessments and marking guidelines for
respective modules
- Supervision of student projects
- Academic administration functions
- Ability to work full time or weekday mornings
Qualifications and Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree or above in Biology / Medicine / Nursing
/ Human Biology
- Excellent knowledge in referencing styles - Harvard
& APA
- Enthusiasm and interest in teaching
- Excellent computer literacy in MS Office and IT skills
required for teaching and research purposes.
- Excellent presentation skills
- Ability to find creative solutions and meet deadlines and
targets
- Excellent command of English language in writing and
communicating
- Pro-active, self-motivated and achievement driven
Remuneration and Benefits
- Salary - Negotiable based on experience and qualifications
- Full-time staff is entitled for paid vacations during
semester holidays
- All staff would receive free of charge training in teaching
by senior academics from CIRP and partner universities
- CIRP staff would gain experience in teaching in its partner
universities in UK through staff exchange programs
- Upon completion of years, academic staff will be provided
up to % off the course fee for the masters and doctoral programs
conducted by CIRP's partner universities
- CIRP will encourage and fund faculty members to take part
in large scale research projects conducted by CIRP in collaboration
with state and foreign institutions.
- Company funded overseas travelling for conferences
Terms and Conditions
- All full-time appointments are subjected to one year
renewable contract
