We currently have a vacancy for English Teacher to join our team.
The Role.
Responsible for managing the English training and development process
of all hotel employees, ensures that the hotel achieves its goals by
providing the English training required of employees in order to
perform proficiently. Responsible for designing, developing,
implementing, coordinating and ultimately administering the English and
development functions.
- Prepares, communicates and implements an annual English
training plan for the hotel.
- Ensures that regular, scheduled training plans are
subsequently implemented and followed by all departments.
- Conducts English training programs for language and
knowledge are subsequently implemented in all departments'
daily work routine by either role play or one to one coaching.
- Keeps a comprehensive record of all English training
activities and maintains the efficient administration within the
department preparing and submitting operational reports on time.
- Ensure proper utilization of hotel training facilities and
equipment during class for maximum understanding.
- Ensures that said facilities are properly fitted and
suitably equipped; makes recommendations for improvements and upgrades,
as dictated by the needs of the hotel.
- Keeps abreast with innovations and developments of training
techniques and methods.
- Monitors the standard of English performance in all
departments and takes or suggests appropriate actions. as and when
required.
- Assist the Human Resources Department with the preparation
and implementation of effective associate communication program,
recruitment and performance review procedures.
- Coaches and develops subordinate associates in English
- Allocate homework to all candidates and provide update on
their follow ups.
- Highlight and address key management that requires
additional focus and attention.
- Reviews all in house English guest and staff communications
and complete monthly training reports.
Essential Requirements.
- Bachelor degree or HND related to language and or adult
learning.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Managerial level
preferably international hotels with proven record of achievements in
people development or previous work as English teacher
- Professional training skills and knowledge of working
practices and principles in a 5 star hospitality setting.
- Excellent command of the English language.
- Ability to express effective, clear and concise written and
verbal communication.
- Good interpersonal skills
- Good leadership, organizational and administrative skills.
- Strong in driving results and people management and
development.
