Lab Technician – Full time (Male)

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Lab Technician/Demonstrator to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in supporting the academic and practical functions of the Electrical and Electronic department. Key responsibilities include assisting in laboratory sessions, maintaining and preparing lab equipment, supporting students during practical experiments, and ensuring safety standards are upheld. The candidate will also help academic staff with demonstration, assessments, and technical setups. A strong passion for hands-on education, attention to detail, and a commitment for student learning and safety are essential for success in this role.
Minimum Requirements:
Educational Qualifications:
* HND/Diploma in Electrical and Electronic Engineering or a related field.
Experience:
* Previous experience in a laboratory setting, preferably in an educational or research environment.
* Experience with the maintenance and calibration of a variety of electrical and electronic testing equipment.
* Proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) software for circuit simulation, microcontroller platforms, programmable logic controllers (PLC) and programmable logic devices (PLD) such as Multisim, Proteus, MATLAB, Arduino, Siemens platform for PLCs and Electrical Transmission and Distribution Simulation, Xilinx platform for PLDs, etc.
Skills and Competencies:
* Strong knowledge of electrical testing equipment, electronic circuits, and troubleshooting techniques.
* Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Attention to details and commitment to maintaining a safe working environment.
* **Compulsory to work on weekends, with two weekdays off.**
