Asian Aviation Centre (AAC) is the premier aviation training academy in Sri Lanka. AAC has a long and successful partnership agreement with Kingston University, London and has been involved in the delivery of aircraft maintenance training for many years. AAC offers a multicultural environment conducive for learning. AACs portfolio of courses includes academic and professional training programmes from BSc (Hons) in Aerospace Engineering undergraduate degree to Aircraft Maintenance Engineering and Private and Commercial Flying Training programmes.
AAC is looking for dynamic and suitably qualified individuals for the following posts.
Lecturer: Mathematics for the delivery of Mathematics modules in the BSc (Hons) in Aerospace Engineering programme
Instructor : Avionics for the delivery of Module , and in Aircraft Maintenance Engineering (B., B. and B) courses
Preference will be given to applicants who are able to undertake delivery of additional subject modules.
General Requirements:
- Be able to transfer practical experience into useful learning activities,
- Excellent organizational skills,
- Good interpersonal & communication skills,
- Teaching and / or industrial experience,
- Flexible approach to work.
Post Specific Requirements:
Lecturer - Mathematics
- An undergraduate degree, Mathematics specialization is desirable, postgraduate qualifications will be an advantage,
- Proficiency in solving problems in mathematics and statistics using various software
packages such as MAPLE, MATLAB and Excel.
Instructor - Avionics
- Have an undergraduate degree in Electrical / Electronic I Mechatronics Engineering or have or having held a Category B or B Aircraft Maintenance Licence or have completed Electrical and Instrument Basic and Advanced Trade / Technical Training Courses at SLAF,
- Work experience on electronics / avionics systems,
- Civil or Military aircraft maintenance experience.
