Successful candidates must have
- An earned Ph.D or MSc with equivalent professional
experience in the
Telecommunication field
- Lecturing / Academic experience in Higher Education sector
with
knowledge and skills in course and programme design and delivery
- A demonstrated ability in research and a commitment to
graduate and
undergraduate teaching and programme development
- Familiarity and competence in some of the relevant
contents, concepts
and issues exemplified by the following
- Radio Frequency (RF) Systems
- Network Security routing and switching
- SDN
- Image processing and broadcast services
- Mobile communications
Electrical Engineering
Successful candidates must have
- An earned Ph.D or MSc with equivalent professional
experience in the
Electrical Engineering field
- Lecturing / Academic experience in Higher Education sector
with
knowledge and skills in course and programme design and delivery
- A demonstrated ability in research and a commitment to
graduate and
undergraduate teaching and programme development
- Familiarity and competence in some of the relevant
contents, concepts
and issues exemplified by the following
- Power system analysis
- Electrical machines and drives
- Power electronics
- Renewable energy technologies and smart grids
- Electrical installations
*Experience in power system analysis software like PSSE PSCAD Power
World etc will be an added advantage.
Software / Computer Engineering
Successful candidates must have
- An earned Ph.D or MPhil / MSc with equivalent professional
experience in the Software / Computer Engineering
- Lecturing / Academic experience in Higher Education sector
with knowledge and skills in course and programme design and delivery
- A demonstrated ability in research and a commitment to
graduate and undergraduate teaching and programme development
- Familiarity and competence in some of the relevant
contents, concepts and issues exemplified by the following
- Object oriented design and programming
- Software engineering
- Computer organization and architecture
- Data structures and algorithm
- Operating system design
- Computer Networking
- Artificial intelligence, machine learning and data mining
- Embedded systems and design
- Programming skills in C++ Python, Java, C#, VHDL,
Microprocessor/microcontroller
- Programming in assembly language
Mathematics
Successful candidates must have
- An earned Ph.D or MSc with equivalent professional
experience in the field of Mathematics
- Lecturing / Academic experience in Higher Education sector
with knowledge and skills in course and programme design and delivery
- A demonstrated ability in research and a commitment to
graduate and undergraduate teaching and programme development
