Ruvini is a Licentiate of the Royal Schools of Music (Teaching) and the
Trinity College of Music London (Performing). She received the
Centenary Travel Grant awarded by the ABRSM, based at the Royal
Academy, UK, to follow an intensive course in teaching music.
Ruvini was a piano examiner for the Institute of Western Music Sri
Lanka for many years. She was also a member of the Exams Board for two
years. At IWMS she helped to conduct many teacher training workshops.
Ruvini is a well-established piano teacher with years of teaching
experience. She has produced many award winners at Diploma and Grade
level (ABRSM and Trinity College, UK). Her students have won major
piano competitions and performed with the Symphony Orchestra. She is
deeply committed to broadening a students musical skills and at her
student concerts give the opportunity to students to explore their
musical creativity by encouraging them to come up with their own
arrangements of music.
Serving the community through music is also one of Ruvinis key
objectives. Many of her concerts have raised funds for well deserving
charities. Tribute held in raised funds for the Music Project.
By initiating music camps such as MusicQwest happening in August
Ruvini hopes to spread the love of music amongst young kids
