TechEd-Lanka offers interactive learning using “hands on” material and equipment. They will actually build mini robots using building models, attaching sensors and motors that are plugged into a computer and configure its behavior using a simple programming tool developed by world’s leading research institutions and robotic companies. We have STEM focused programs and weekly classes in elementary and middle schools, Home-school programs, After-school programs in Robotics Centers, International Robotic Competitions and Summer Camps.
Ours is a hands-on interactive program that focuses on teaching STEM
principles while engaging students in a fun and enthusiastic
atmosphere. STEM (Science Technology Engineering and Math) subjects are
highly incorporated into the program in addition to primary focus on
Application Math. Students (Grade to ) will be
taught the basics of robotics and programming as well as how to work
effectively in a team. All equipment, robotic kits, software and
laptops will be provided. This program will encourage students to use
their imagination, problem-solving skills and will enable them to
better apply learned academic principles at work place. All our
instructors and teachers are trained by Japanese and Singapore
curriculum specialists. Given below are examples of our program.
STEM subjects covered in th Grade Curriculum
Science: Motion, sound waves, sensing, sonic and light
detection Technology & Programming: Basics of programming,
flow-charts, pictorial programs Engineering: Motors, friction,
rotations, gears and sensors Math: Measurements, conversions,
volume, surface area, geometric concepts, graphing, fractions,
decimals, degrees, ratios, proportions, percentages, and problem-solving
