About the teacher
I am currently an undergraduate at the faculty of Law, University of Colombo. Sat for Advanced level examinations in in Art stream and obtained A passes while becoming the th in the Colombo District. I read for my Ordinary level examinations in and obtained A passes. I was successfully able to complete a Diploma on International Relations at the Bandaranayake Center for International Relations. I have been conducting classes over an year and the students have shown a progressive development and a desire towards history. The effective communication skills that I have developed through engaging in many extra curricular activities at school have been utilized in the teaching process which you will experience during the class.
Subjects and Courses
The Academy of History provides knowledge to the students in Grade , , who struggle in the History Subject. Classes are mainly conducted in English medium but Sinhala medium assistance can also be provided.
History is a compulsory subject for a local student. According to my personal observation, it is one of those subjects which students show lack in interest and struggle to study. The reason which I see for this lethargic nature is that the the subject has not being properly poured to the minds of the students.
The Academy of History assures that it will create a positive addiction to the History subjects as I will be using many techniques to connect with students and teach this school of thought not as a subject but as a story.
