TAFA is the dream of Colombo-based football coach Thaabit Ahmed. He first set up the Academy in 2009 with 5 students and has been overwhelmed by the level of interest and support for his venture. Today the academy hosts training programs for age groups ranging from as young as 3 to 18 year olds.
Thaabit has extensive experience playing and coaching football. From his early playing days in the Colombo International School, Thaabit was involved in coaching. What started as a hobby, coaching became a passion and then a full time job. After working part time in the Asian International School and the Overseas School in Colombo, in 2010 Thaabit took over as the Head coach at the British School in Colombo coaching all age groups from junior to senior school. After guiding the British school football teams for two years, Thaabit is now running operations at TAFA fulltime.

We provide high quality football and fitness coaching, organize tailor made football tours and are involved in social outreach projects via our Football Foundation, the charitable wing of TAFA.
