National Association of Photographers-Sri Lanka [NAPSL] was founded in 1980 as a voluntary organisations with the patronage of the Ministry of Cultural Affairs in order to popularise the art of photography among Sri Lankans.
To achieve this goal the NAPSL regularly organises photographic work shops, courses, annual competitions and exhibitions etc.
Photography courses conducted by the NAPSL have been granted the registration of the Tertiary and Vocational Education Commission of Sri Lanka [TVEC].
