In my opinion, students should not go for tuition as they are already
spending a lot of time in school and even after school doing
extra-curricular activities. So spending more time on tuition will only
reduce their time to relax which is a must for them.
However, sometimes the schools are unable to provide individual
attention for students for various reasons such as high number of
students in classes and limited resources etc. Also since different
students learn in different speeds, in schools most teachers do not
have the time to cater for this or even competent enough to identify
this. Sometimes teachers have the subject knowledge but they
lack teaching skills, sometimes they have teaching skills and not
subject knowledge. A good teacher should have both these skills and
also know how to connect with individual students.
