About the institute
The consortium to End Online Violence against Children, led by Save the Children International with its partners World Vision Lanka and LEADS have developed an online short course about cyber-safety for children which will be hosted in E- Thaksalawa, the online educational portal of the Ministry of Education. The title of the course is ‘Cyber Safety’ and is offered in all three languages (Sinhala, English and Tamil)
Subjects and Courses
We all know that children are exposed to the online world than ever before and as adults, it’s our responsibility to ensure that they are having a safe and secure online experience.

This project was led by LEADS to create awareness among school children between the age of - on protecting themselves online which is a timely need when more children are getting online especially amidst the global pandemic COVID . The online course was launched officially on nd of July at . pm through a webinar which was livestreamed on E-Thaksalawa Facebook Page.

The modules covering cyber safety, content sharing, cyber bullying and cyber threats are now available on e thaksalawa. Upon successful completion of the course the children will be offered an e certificate signed by the secretaries of the Ministry of Women and Child Affairs and the Ministry of Education.

Encourage children aged - to enroll in a free interactive online course on cyber security via e-thaksalawa. A valuable e-certificate will be awarded on completion. Register at .
