Having completed ABRSM Grades 1-8 in Pianoforte, April is an ATCL diploma holder of Trinity College London obtaining the high scorer prize in Sri Lanka for ATCL performance diploma (2016). She studied under some of the most experienced piano teachers in the country: Ms. Savithri Jayathilake, Mrs. Bridget Halpe, Mrs. Menaka Sahabandu, Ms. Trixie Dias Abeygunawardane.

She has experience in teaching both adults and children.

April also holds a BSc (Hons.) in Business Management, graduating with First-Class and gold medal for Best Academic Performance (2012) from the University of Wales.
