I am an undergraduate at University of Kelaniya. I am doing Management and Information Technology degree. I am hoping to be a software engineer. So which courses should I do other than Management and Information Technology?
To be a perfect Software Engineer initially you want to have good theoretical knowledge regarding Software aspects. Then only you can easily absorb any programming language. It will be result to be a good programmer in the future.
The degree which you are going to do is the perfect background for it. First complete your degree. While doing it better to do some certifications like Microsoft Certified programmer, Microsoft Certified Professional Developer like wise. Also try to do some projects which gain practical knowledge to you.
Your aim is good. there are more paths to reach your goal. It is different according to your skills and analytical power. It is not better to give a common answer to you because that part comes under career guidance.

When you complete the MIT degree you will gain the educational qualification requires to be a software engineer. To join the software industry it's need to competent with latest technologies. I suggest you to follow any technology based courses (eg: android, J2EE ...).

I have passed 8 subjects in the 2017 O/L exam but failed maths. Later I learned a few months from the a / l art stream and refused to study there anymore, so I gave up a / l. so can I become a software engineer without A/L?

මම මෙවර උසස් පෙල වණිජ අංශයයෙන් පෙනිණි සිටියේය.මම SLIIT ආයතනයේ Software Engineer පාඨමාලාවක් හදාරා ඉදිරියට යමට බලාපොරොත්තු වෙමි. එයට මා සතුව තිබිය යුතු දැනුම කවරේද? මා හට English කතා කිරිමට හා ලිවිමට හැකියාව ඇත. O/L සඳහා B සාමාර්ථයක් ඇත. එය ප්රමාණවත්ද?
