The IPS (Ladies' College, Institute of Professional Studies) while providing vocational/professional training for students, who were not academically inclined, looks after the financially disadvantaged, by granting them financial assistance to follow these courses. Scholarships are granted to those recommended by a parish priest, old girls of the school and teachers of IPS.
Many scholarship holders are students from suburban and rural districts.
