In my O/L result sheet my surname have only half. how do I correct it?

I faced to the ordinary level exam in year 2015. But I have taken my result sheet in November, 2017 from school. Bad luck, there is a mistake in one part of my name in result sheet. How can i change it? When I looked the result sheet, it says that we should applied for the name changes before August of 2016.

I've done my o/l exam in 2014. And there was a mistake in my name and I almost went to education department and I changed name correctly. But I want to know is that changed. But I can't get my o/l results in 2014 how to know my o/l results

My name I put in O/L application is different to name in my id card, therefore name in result sheet is different . What to do to change my name in result sheet ?

I think you have to go to the education department in Battaramulla. Dial 1919 from any phone to get their detials through government information center.

This is a delicate issue and whose fault is the typographical error? Yours or the body responsible for issuing result sheet?

My Advise:
If you know it is not your fault, take it to the body responsible and file a complain. It is not only in the result sheet that the correction is needed, it is the entire documents. (the one with you and the one with the body) If it\\\'s your fault, do the same. If you tried to change it yourself, there will be discrepancy in the future which may affect confirmation or verification of results.. I hope that helps..
