I did London A/L. How to sit for Local A/L?
I am a student who sat for GCE London A/L. Now I need to do Sri Lankan A/L how can I apply & sit for exams?

You will have to join a school,I believe. I like Daybridge School in Hill Street, Dehiwala. Where do you live. I may be able to help you online. You must find out if you can sit the Sri Lankan A levels privately. Add me to Skype to thiviyaloges @ gmail.com.

If you have completed local O/L, you can apply as a private candidate. Refer Mr. Nimal Fernando's Reply.
Yes you can apply as a private candidate. National A/L exams are on August. Applications available in the book shops. Please check the closing date from Isurupaya Battaramulla. Even if you have London A/L knowledge, you have to practice with national pass papers and study materials because questioning pattern different.
well I did my London o/l exams and I could not do my London A/Ls due to some personal problems and now I need to do my local A/Ls for the first time in science stream.
will I be allowed to do my local A/Ls this year and I also need to know if it is possible to me to apply as a private candidate.

You can apply for the examination as a private candidate. Regarding the relevant project works and its submission you must be consulted by the zonal education department.
You can apply for the exam as a private candidate. Applications are available in book shops. There's a date where they call applications. Check on that.
You can sit as a private candidate. All materials such as the syllabus, etc. can be taken from Isurupaya, Battaramulla. Pls contact them they'll give you all the necessary details. If you need coaching in English Lang./Lit. I can help you as I am currently giving tuition in these subjects.
You can apply as a private candidate. but you have to register at provincial education office in your area. if you are in Colombo area you should go to green path education office before applying to the examinations.
Yes you can register. You have to make an application through examination department as an external candidate.
Send an application for admission when the commissioner of examinations calling the applications, If you are sitting the exam in science stream you have to prove that you have done the relevant practicals (chemistry and physics) by a recognized institute. For more information please visit the divisional educational office.

Attend some revision classes for your subjects and do past papers.
Register for the Local A/L as a private candidate and do the Local A/L the next time.
