simple pass for O/L maths not sufficient

Did you check with your School whether you can follow Maths stream...? If they ignored you can sit for the A/L exam in Maths stream by applying private. You just want to pass O/L examination to follow A/L privately in a stream you prefer. There is no issue applying privately.

yes I know young students fond of doing maths. but remember A level maths needs lot of abstract thinking. that means you have to think of maths beyond the O level scope. therefore simple pass is not enough since it does not guarantee your capability of abstract thinking. so you may select arts subjects that leads you to be a lawyer, or just think to become an artist, if you study economics and pass with best results you will be able to do an economics degree. there are plenty of financial related job for you as an economist

If you work hard from the beginning. You may perform in math stream.Your O/L results shows your basic knowledge of mathematics. A/L mathematics is full of abstracting concepts. Top of that you have to do physics as well. It is not going to be easy for you. What I feel is your capacity is not enough to follow math stream.

You can do Maths stream with the Ordinary Pass. But I advice to you do a Career test before selecting the subject stream. Get Guidance from proper Career Counselor. Some times you will be able to follow AL maths. It depends on your realistic and investigational ability. We cant find it without doing such test. If you interest with this pls contact me or any career counsellor

yes, of course. You all can do maths subjects.

Its good to fo maths, yet it would be a it hard if you have a simple pass.... But if you do it with a big motive and work really really hard, there is nothing that you cant do...

A/L and O/L are absolutely different.There are engineering student who have got S in O/L math but A in A/L. A/L result depend up on your dedication. Specially when your doing maths for A/L you have to practice more and more question yourself. Then any body can gain good result. Nothing to do with your O/L results.
