The school provides a holistic education for both boys and girls. It will prepare students in the English language for either the Government of Sri Lanka Ministry of Educations General Certificate of Education Ordinary and Advanced Level examinations or the British exams. The students will be provided an opportunity to develop an inquiring mind, ethical behaviour, hone their talents, stretch their physical capabilities and be emotionally strong and stable. We intend to mould our students to be citizens who are responsible and active contributors to the welfare of the nation and the world.

  • EDUCATIONAL GOALS

  • CURRICULUM
    • A childs educational and personal development depends to a great extent on the early years of schooling. As such, the emphasis will be placed on developing skills and competency in the core subjects: English language, Mathematics, Environmental
      Studies/Science, Religion, Sinhala/ Tamil according to the guidelines provided by the Ministry of Education. Special emphasis will be given to subjects like English and Mathematics. Students will be exposed to Computer Education from Grade I.
    • In addition, the curriculum will include:

      • Music and Singing
      • Speech and Drama
      • Dancing
    • Students are being prepared for the General Certificate in Education, Ordinary Level Grade XI and the General Certificate in Education, Advanced Level Grade XIII examinations of the Ministry of Education of the Government of Sri Lanka. The curriculum encompasses the requirements of the Ministry of Education of the Government of Sri Lanka, and supplemented by courses, and learning opportunities developed by faculty with inputs from national and global sources and networks.
      The College is committed to the development of the total personality, and an in-house
      designed personality program will provide instructions in Principles and Values, Social Behaviour, Personality Development and Career Guidance.
  • TEXT BOOKS
    • Text books will be available for purchase from the school. Lists will be provided for the purchase of supplementary text books and exercise books.
  • TEACHING STAFF
    • The Core Faculty of experienced teachers will be supplemented by other specialists to provide the real world context in the learning experience. All teachers will be qualified in their areas of expertise and continued staff development will be emphasized.
  • THE PRIMARY SCHOOL
    The Primary School is from Grade I to V. There are vacancies for two classes for Grade I and one class each for Grades II to IV. A class will have students, while Core subjects will be taught in a learning group which will consist of students, so that each child will receive individual attention.

  • DISCIPLINE
    • There will be a focus on maintaining high standards of discipline and ethical behaviour. The School rules will be made available to parents and students and displayed on Notice Boards. These rules will provide a stable framework for behaviour inside and outside the school.
  • RELIGION
    • The school will encourage tolerance and respect for the many faiths in a multi cultural society. While religious instruction will be available for those presenting themselves for the GCE Ordinary Level Examination, the school promotes the worship and practice of the Christian faith.
  • CHAPLAINCY
    • Students are in the care of the Class Teacher. In addition, the Chaplain will be available for counseling and prayer for students and parents when required.
  • UNIFORMS
    • A formal dress is required for participating in class or school activity, while there will be school- approved attire for sports activities.
    • Girls: dark grey skirt, light grey blouse with school badge on pocket; black socks; black shoes.
    • Boys: dark grey trousers, light grey shirt with school badge on pocket; black socks; black shoes.
    • A minimum of sets of uniforms will have to be purchased each year.
  • MEDICAL
    • A First Aid Box is available at the school. If further medical attention is required the parents will be required to remove the child from school. In the event of an emergency, medical attention will be sought from the Apollo Hospital, Asiri Hospital or Oasis Hospital in Colombo , for which parents must reimburse the school.
  • VISITING THE SCHOOL
    • Parents and prospective students are welcome to visit the school to meet teachers or the Principal. Please call the school on Telephone No. and make a prior appointment. Open days for parents are arranged once a term, so that the childs progress and needs could be discussed with the relevant teachers.
  • GOVERNANCE and ADMINISTRATION
    • The school, though fee levying will not distribute its profits, but will re-invest in the further advancement of its objectives. The Board of Directors are drawn from various disciplines to administer the school. The Principal will be the Head of School and responsible for students, staff and curriculum.
