Dear Sir/Madam
I am 40 years old. First I sat for my A/L in 1997 and only passed 1 subject from Maths, then in 1998 also passed only 1 subject and in 1999 passed only 1 subject. I wanted to know whether I can do the exam again to achieve all the passes.

I have never faced advanced level examination. I passed ordinary level at the second attempt. I am 23 years now.
Can I apply for advanced level examination?
I hope to study more, that is why I need to know.
I passed ordinary level 7 subjects with 5 credits
Can I face for the A/L any subjects?.
Thank you

Private Candidates sitting G.C.E. (A/L) Examination should have fulfilled the requirements of having completed the competency development projects, practical tests and subject related projects under the programme recommended for Private Candidates as an alternative to the School Based Assessment (SBA) Programme as stated in the Circular No. 2005/03 dated 27.01.2005 of the Secretary to the Ministry of Education that is in effect from the year 2005.
Those who have never taken this examination as a school candidate and taking it for the first time as a Private Candidate and is less than 21 years of age as at 01.01.2012 and the candidates who have previously sat this examination and, now sitting as a private candidate offering subjects which are different to the ones taken on the previous occasion should register themselves under the programme explained above.
